About the Society

The Society was founded in 1982 as a self-financing charitable organization and is in its 23rd year of operation, caring for seafarers visiting the Bahrain ports. The Society was founded to provide voluntary service and welfare assistance to all Merchant seafarers calling at all ports in Bahrain.
The objective is to assist seafarers with any problems they may have, to make their short visits to Bahrain as enjoyable as possible and to provide respite from the rigors and stress of seaborne life.

The Seafarers' Welfare Representative is
The Revd. Victor Salve who can be contacted on  telephone 00973 17728266, fax 17728521 or mobile 39247413
